Derby Porcelain Painted Cup and Saucer with Gold Leaf, c. 1800

Painted cup and saucer from Derby pottery, England. Saucer has a painting of Greenwich Hospital (London) in the center, surrounded by an ornate design. Cup has a painting of Farnham Castle (Surrey) on opposite side from handle. Underneath saucer is written "Greenwich Hospital" and the puce colored Derby mark; underneath the cup is written "Farnham" and the puce colored Derby mark.

Saucer: 5 1/8" (13.01 cm) wide; Cup: 3 7/8" (9.84 cm) wide, 2 1/2" (6.35 cm) high
