Meissen red stoneware figure of German writer, artist, and politician Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, 20th century.
Stamped "GOETHE" on the front of the base, and with the Meissen crossed swords on the back of the base. Also impressed on the bottom of the base with the Meissen crossed swords and "BÖTTGER STEINZEUG."
13" (33 cm) high x 4 1/4" (10.8 cm) wide
Condition: Excellent; no damage or repair.
