Description
Wedgwood, framed set of twelve Basalt cameos, each depicting a Roman Emperor, ca. 1780.

Eleven of the cameos are signed on the reverse with an impressed "Wedgwood" mark, in upper and lowercase letters, while one cameo is signed on the reverse with an impressed "Wedgwood & Bentley" mark, in upper and lowercase letters.

Each cameo measures approximately 2 1/4" (5.7 cm) high x 2" (5 cm) wide. Each frame measures 7" (17.8 cm) high x 21" (53.3 cm) wide.

Condition: The cameos are in excellent condition, with no damage or repair. Frames are not original, and holes have been cut out of the backs so that the "Wedgwood" mark on the reverse of each cameo is visible.
